Band Auxiliary Minutes
July 11, 2006
The meeting was called to order by President Kim Nicholas. The minutes from the last meeting covered end of year issues and were not discussed. The treasurer passed out the report and reviewed our current financial status. The proposed budget was discussed.
Fundraising Schedule was passed out and the student accounts were explained. Zappa Snacks will replace the Cookie Dough and pizza fundraiser. Buy out for all fundraisers cost $250.00. Pease place all turned in items to the mailbox on the Band Office door.

Report to East Gate (Willowdale side) 2 hrs. before kick-off. Wear your Blue Band Shirt.
Discount Cards:
Kick off begins Thursday. Students are using sign up sheet for pre-orders. $10.00 per card. Sell 11 and get 1 free OR enter for a drawing for cash.
Uniforms:
Students are being pulled from practice to be measured for uniforms. Volunteers are appreciated! Parents are asked to use laundry tape to put name into jacket and hat. The blue band shirt is required underneath the uniform in case jackets need to be removed so it still looks “uniform”.
Day Camp:
July 24-27 begin 2-a-days at school, the second week will be held at the Coliseum. Sign ups were passed for parents to help with cleaning, hanging pictures and weather. Sign ups for Mall Rehearsals were also passed.
Concessions:
The stand on the school side needs help with construction/repairs. A sign up sheet for both helping with repairs and for working during football games was passed.
Band Spectacular Program Book:
Janet Trump and Lisa Jenkins already have 20-25 ads committed and will begin follow up calls after July 14th.
The forms for parent ads (for students) were available. Patron passes get free entry into MHS Spectacular and concerts at MHS. Please return these ads to Carla.
Band Spectacular:
Tammy Dalton passed a sign up sheet for helpers.
Chaperones:
Interest forms are available on the website. Cindy Walden is coordinating our chaperones. Please let her know if you are interested in helping out.
Spaghetti Dinner:
Debbie Austin gave a general overview of the help needed. The first meal is October 10th.
Merchandise:
Bob reviewed the inventory: shirts, decals, cups, visors, jackets, cookbooks, license plates, frames, sweatshirts, and headdresses for cars. If you are interested in other items please let him know.
Band Camp:
Monday Morning Express check-in. Cell phones don’t work well, but pay phones are available. Parents are encouraged to attend the 11am Saturday performance. Students do not need money. Any “controlled” medication needs to be checked in with the medical staff. Inhalers and Epi-pens are to be kept with the student.
Additional items for camp could include: chapstick with sunscreen, eye drops, and bandaids.
