Parent Auxiliary Minutes

The meeting was called to order by President Kim Nicholas at 7:35pm. The secretary gave a summary report of the previous meeting and the treasurer gave an oral report of our financial standing.
Kim asked if you have recently changed your email account that you update her with those changes. April lottery tickets will be sent soon. Please return the money and any tickets you are not selling/purchasing by the end of March.
Mr. Reed went over the calendar of activities.
February 23 Jazz Ensemble to play at the Health Fair 6:30-8
March 3 Regional Jazz Festival at the CAC
Choir Fundraiser at the Hotel Morgan will feature some Broadway and local talent. There will be an auction that will include items listed on ebay.
March 13 8th Grade Band Bash starting at 6pm. A list was passed for volunteers to help that evening. The auxiliary will meet immediately following that meeting at 7:30.
March 20 Spaghetti Dinner – a dozen cupcakes individually wrapped is needed from every student. All Freshman and Seniors will be required to work. The MnM’s will bus tables.
March 22-24 All-State Band to go to Huntington. Need one parent to drive down and chaperone.
March 25-April 2 Wind Ensemble, Chamber Choir, and IMAGES New York City with a performance at Frostburg State College.
April 12-13 Spring Performance at the MET for Jazz Band, Percussion, and IMAGES
April 17 After school rehearsals begin for Symphonic and Wind Ensemble on the day the student does not have band class.
April 24 Band Banquet at the Mountainlair Ballroom
April 26-27 Band Festival in Bridgeport
April 28 MnM/Field Commander music auditions
May 1 Spring Concert in the gym
May 4 MnM try-outs
May 5 Star City parade to celebrate it’s 100th year anniversary
May 11 Head Majorette and Field Commander try-outs
May 18 Strawberry Festival
May 26 Graduation – anyone not graduating plays
July 5 Summer Band begins
August 6-11 Band Camp at Jackson’s Mill
Next Meeting is March 3rd .
