Band Auxiliary Minutes

September 4, 2007

The band meeting was called to order following the Food Handler’s Class by President Annette Sovastion. The treasurer’s report was distributed, reviewed and filed for the records. The minutes from the last meeting were posted on the website and sent out in email. There was one spelling correction: Elena Dooley should be spelled Elaina Duley. Apologies were expressed and accepted.

Concession Stand: sign up sheet was sent around for the remaining home games: Sept. 14, 28 and Oct. 5, 19. Thank you to the families that pitched in last minute when the first game was changed to be a home game! If you are a parent of an underclass student, please consider helping with the October games (especially the 19th for Senior Night) so our parents of Senior students can enjoy the festivities.

Stadium Seats: 5,700 seats were installed and 3,338 additional seats were rented for a total profit thus far of $5,570. The co-owner of the seat company said that our workers are the best he has seen! Reminder: Seat rental is $6.00 this season.

Mr. Reed’s Report:

Friday’s Game: 9/7 at Fairmont. Please be in the band room by 5:00pm, buses load at 5:30pm and will likely return around 10:45pm. Please do NOT park on Edgewood. Wait until the buses have dropped off your child and then you may drive up to the band room door and pick up your child. Do not have your child walk up to another street to meet you…it is difficult to account for students when they walk away.

Fairmont Band Spectacular: same times – 5pm in band room, 5:30pm departure, 10:45 return

** please wear travel uniform: band shirt, uniform pants, white regular band socks, dinkles **

jackets, gloves, hats etc…will be carried on and worn once we arrive

September 14th game: will be our last time gathering at our current secret this season place due to construction. We will be participating in the South Park Block Party!

Autumn Glory Festival: we will participate this year! Oct. 13th

Next Meeting: Oct. 2nd at 7:30pm
